Using the Calculator
Screen 1 - Car Detail Selection
From the Manufacturer drop down box, select the vehicle Manufacturer. This will determine the Models available for calculation from the Model drop-down menu.
From the Model drop-down menu, select the Model. This will display the models available from the selected Manufacturer.
From the Body Type drop-down menu, select the Body Type.
From the Transmission drop down box, select the Transmission option.
From the Variant drop-down menu, select from the vehicle Variants available.
Click the 'Submit' button.
Screen 2 - Figure Selection
From the Figure Selection screen you may enter values other than the default values provided in the following areas:
- Purchase Price
- Spare Parts Discount
- Accessories
- Kilometres per Annum
- Dealer Delivery
- Road Service fee
- Business Insurance
- Days available for private use
- Average Labour Costs
- Percentage private use
- Fuel Costs
- Employee after tax contributions
- Interest Rate
- Yearly Administration fee
Click 'View Results'
Screen 3 - Operating Costs Results
This page displays a comprehensive report on the selected vehicle, where you can chose to view the whole of life costs including FBT calculated by your choice of the operating or statutory methods in cents per kilometre for each of the costs areas and the total cents per kilometres and average dollars per week for ownership cycles from 1 to 5 years.
Where a vehicle is identified as being eligible under the Fringe Benefits Tax Act for exemption, the vehicle is identified as being normally exempt and allows for FBT to be shown if required.
Screens 4-6 - Side-by side comparison
For a two vehicle comparison report click 'Compare' and step through the process in the same manner to select another vehicle to view side-by-side.
For a hard copy click the 'Print' button.
To change operating criteria selection click 'Back' at the bottom of the pages to step back through the process.
To start again and make another vehicle selection click 'Calculator' at the top of the page. |
